Life Chain

If my people, who are called by my name,
will humble themselves and pray and seek my face
and turn from their wicked ways,
then will I hear from heaven and
will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

- 2 Chronicles 7:14 -

Thirty-five years ago "Roe vs. Wade' legalized abortion in the United States.  This was the outcome when two women lawyers were seeking the right for a homeless, 22-year-old single mother Norma McCorvey, pseudonym Jane Roe, to terminate her third pregnancy.  By the time the decision was handed down, Roe would have had that child whom she put up for adoption.  The prosecuting district attorney, Henry Wade, himself coming from a family of seven children, never lost a case until 'Roe vs. Wade', but his cause remained.  Up until now, the battle is to educate women about the dangers of abortion and the right to life.  In the 1980's, McCorvey finally revealed her true identity.   Converted into Catholicism in the 90's, she became an active pro-Life advocate saying, "I believe that I was used and abused by the court system in America. Instead of helping women in Roe v Wade, I brought destruction to me and millions of women throughout the nation."

Last Sunday, daddy Buddy, Bong and I stood in that cold and windy fall day to express our support for the sanctity of the human life.  Together with  some of our St. Cyprian family, we joined the Life Chain to bear witness to God's forgiving kindness.

I am my Father's humble servant and I love Life!
